Anele Ngubane

Anele was born in the Nsimbini area of Umbumbulu in 1997. He completed his BSc in Physiotherapy at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (Westville campus) between 2016 and 2019, and went on to fulfil his community service year at Dundee Provincial Hospital in 2020.

In addition to his clinical work, Anele served as a part-time lecturer in the UKZN Physiotherapy Department from 2021 to 2023, where he contributed to the academic development of undergraduate students.

Before entering the field of physiotherapy, Anele was a professional footballer, having played for clubs such as Lamontville Golden Arrows. His personal experience in elite sport informs his understanding of physical performance, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.

Outside of healthcare, Anele is a passionate musician and songwriter, with a creative spirit that complements his work as a physiotherapist. He brings a unique blend of academic, athletic, and artistic insight to his role.
