

His journey into sports physiotherapy began during his second year of study when he volunteered at the FINA Swimming World Cup at Kings Park. This early experience sparked his interest in combining physiotherapy with sport, leading to involvement in events such as the South African Games (Bloemfontein, 2007; Limpopo, 2011).
Thabane worked in the public sector for a decade, starting at Benedictine Hospital in 2008 and then at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital from 2009 to 2018. During this time, he also provided part-time support to private clinics. In 2018, he joined Khan, Singh, Nsibande Physiotherapists, where he continues to grow his clinical and sports physiotherapy expertise.
He has contributed significantly to local and international sporting events, including serving as chief physiotherapist for the SALGA Games and participating in the BRICS Games (Durban 2023 and Kazan, Russia 2024), as well as the Chiochi del Tricolore in Italy in 2023. Thabane has also worked with professional football (soccer) and rugby teams.

He completed his Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) certification in 2019 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Physiotherapy through the University of Cape Town. His ongoing commitment to professional development and multidisciplinary collaboration reflects his dedication to providing effective, evidence-informed care within both clinical and sporting environments.
